Blessing Over Vengeance Within

1 Peter 3:9-11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Peter 3 in context

Scripture Focus

9Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.
10For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
11Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
1 Peter 3:9-11

Biblical Context

Peter urges not to repay evil with evil, but to bless, for you are called to inherit a blessing; guard your speech, eschew evil, and seek peace so your days are good.

Neville's Inner Vision

Beloved, the scripture does not speak of changing others, but awakening the I AM within. When you refuse to render evil for evil, you are training your consciousness to entertain a higher vibration—the blessing you are called to inherit. The tongue becomes a pen of light, not a weapon; guile and railing dissolve as you identify with the indwelling I AM that loves life and seeks what is true and good. To love life and see good days is a decision you rehearse in imagination: you refrain from negative speech, you eschew evil, and you do good because your inner state already knows peace. In this light, 'pursue peace' is not a command to chase after outcomes, but a movement of awareness that settles into your being. The world outside merely reflects the inner state you persist in. So assume the feeling of being blessed, and let that belief reform your relationships, your speech, and your days.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly, imagine the I AM you are, and bless the person who has wronged you; mentally say, 'I bless you, I release judgment.' Then feel the calm certainty that your days are already good.
