Eyes of the Lord, Prayers Within

1 Peter 3:12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Peter 3 in context

Scripture Focus

12For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
1 Peter 3:12

Biblical Context

God watches over the righteous and attends to their prayers, while He opposes those who do evil.

Neville's Inner Vision

1 Peter 3:12 is a map of your inner state. The eyes of the Lord over the righteous and the ears open to their prayers are not outside favors but the functioning of your own awareness when you live from the I AM. In this light, 'the righteous' are those who, in consciousness, choose and dwell in the state that already possesses what they seek. Your prayers become the inner dialogues that align your imagination with the end you desire. The Lord’s face against evildoers is the natural resistance of the old self clinging to fear or lack; when you persist in the recognized state, that resistance recedes and your new state stands unopposed. The presence of God is your continuous attention, your awareness turning toward what you want until it exists as fact in your experience. Do not beg; revise and feel it real until the scene mirrors your wish and your heart knows it is done. In so doing, you discover that God is not distant but the very I AM within you witnessing and accepting your prayer.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, take a breath, and dwell in the feeling 'I am heard; my prayer is answered.' Then imagine a present-tense scene where the desired outcome is already present, and let that imagining rest in your heart until it becomes your reference point.
