1 Peter 1:3-4

Biblical Context

Peter blesses God who, by abundant mercy, has begotten us again unto a lively hope through the resurrection, and gives an inheritance that is incorruptible, undefiled, and reserved in heaven.

Neville's Inner Vision

To Peter's words you are consciousness: the 'God and Father' is the I AM within, and mercy is the quality of awareness that births a new self. The resurrection is not a distant event but your inner rising from fear to faith, a shift where life is seen as continuous and whole. The phrase 'begotten us again' signals a renewal of identity by imagination, the very act of assuming a new state of being. The 'inheritance' is an inner, incorruptible state—undefiled and unfading—secured in the eternal realm of your own awareness. When you dwell there, you do not await a future grant; you live from the future into the present, drawing from a heaven that is your mind. Make this present-tense recognition a practice: imagine and feel as if you already inhabit this resurrected life, and watch fear melt in the light of your true sonship.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, rest a hand on your chest, and assume: I am living the resurrection now. If doubt arises, revise to: I am in possession of an incorruptible inheritance, here and now.
