1 Peter 1:20-21 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Peter 1 in context

Scripture Focus

20Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
21Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
1 Peter 1:20-21

Biblical Context

Peter states that Christ was foreordained before the foundation of the world and made manifest for you in these last times, so that through Him you may believe in God who raised Him and gave Him glory. Your faith and hope are directed to God.

Neville's Inner Vision

Let us read this as a description of your inner state, not a distant history. Foreordained before the foundation of the world is your decision of consciousness, a vow your awareness makes to itself before any appearance. Christ’s manifesting in these last times is the inward Christ appearing as you choose to awaken to the I AM within; it is the shift of attention from lack to presence. By Him you do believe in God—your belief is not about an external event, but about aligning with the I AM you awaken to as the source of life. The one who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory is the living power within you that revives any dead belief and honors the life that now asserts itself. Therefore your faith and your hope are in God—your inner state of awareness rather than changing circumstances. When you dwell in that consciousness, the outer world reflects the renewed life of your inner God-state.

Practice This Now

Practice: Close your eyes, assume the state that you already live as the I AM within. Feel the truth of foreordination and let your faith and hope be in God, allowing that inner state to reshape your day.
