I Am Election And Inner Sanctification
1 Peter 1:2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Peter 1 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Peter speaks of being chosen by God, set apart by the Spirit, to live in obedience and receive cleansing through Christ. Grace and peace are poured out.
Neville's Inner Vision
Picture yourself as the I AM that God the Father foreknew. You are elect not by distant decree, but by the awakening of your own awareness. The sanctification Peter mentions is the Spirit’s work in your mind, a cleansing of fear and distraction as you turn attention from appearances to the living presence within. When you align with this Spirit, obedience is not effort but resonance—you act from the inner law you have come to know by sight. The sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ becomes a symbolic washing away of old identifications, a shedding of guilt by recognizing Christ, your real self, as life itself. With this realization, grace pours in and peace multiplies, not by chasing blessings but by inhabiting the state in which they are already available. The outer world becomes a sign of your inner condition; as you dwell in this consciousness, everything you touch reflects your inner holiness. Rest in the truth that you are foreknown, sanctified, and guided by the Spirit within, now and always.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume, for a minute, that you are the elect in God’s mind—foreknown and sanctified by the Spirit. Then feel the cleansing wash away doubt as you declare I AM and let peace flood your experience.
