Inner Time: Suffering to Glory

1 Peter 1:11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Peter 1 in context

Scripture Focus

11Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
1 Peter 1:11

Biblical Context

The prophets spoke of the Spirit of Christ within them, testifying beforehand about the sufferings of Christ and the glory that would follow.

Neville's Inner Vision

Notice that the Spirit of Christ in them is not an external past event but the I AM in you making itself felt as consciousness. The query 'what manner of time' is your invitation to drop the outer clock and listen to the inner movement of awareness. When you recognize that the same Spirit within you spoke through the prophets, the 'sufferings of Christ' and the 'glory that should follow' cease to be distant chapters and become states of your own mind. The apparent trials are the means by which your inner vision is sharpened, not to curse you but to ready you for a sudden realization that the glory is already present in the now. The promise is fulfilled in the moment you assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled—imagine, feel, and dwell there, and the sequence of time aligns with your inner conviction. Imagination, rightly used, creates the path from suffering to glory by the power of I AM awareness dwelling in you.

Practice This Now

Practice: Sit quietly, breathe, and declare, I AM the Spirit within me; I now know the timing of my own glory. Then imagine you are already living the outcome, feeling it real until the sense of struggle fades and your new state dawns.
