Foreknown Elect, Inner Sanctification
1 Peter 1:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Peter 1 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Peter writes to the scattered believers, naming them elect by foreknowledge and sanctified by the Spirit. They are called to obedience and the sprinkling of Jesus' blood, with grace and peace multiplying toward them.
Neville's Inner Vision
See the scene as a description of your inner life. The strangers scattered through Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia symbolize your dispersed attention, now gathered by the I AM. Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father is your recognition that God’s knowing of you is the present moment you choose to inhabit. Through sanctification of the Spirit means letting the inner Spirit purify your thoughts, washing away fear and doubt. Obedience is the decision to live in harmony with the divine pattern, aligning imagination with a fixed purpose. The sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ is the cleansing of old beliefs by the realization that you and Christ are one in consciousness. Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied, invites your inner atmosphere to expand with ease, health, and serenity as you remain in this state. The gospel here is not distant doctrine but inner alignment: your state creates your world, and as you assume this truth, you awaken to a life of fullness already present.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and assume you are elect now. Declare I AM the I AM and feel grace and peace multiplying within you as your default.
