1And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished the building of the house of the LORD, and the king's house, and all Solomon's desire which he was pleased to do,
2That the LORD appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared unto him at Gibeon.
1 Kings 9:1-2

Biblical Context

Solomon finishes the temple and his palace, and the LORD reveals Himself to him a second time.

Neville's Inner Vision

Today I view the verse as a mirror of my own inner architecture. When Solomon finished the temple and the royal house, the outer completion makes space for an inner visitation—the I AM awakens to itself again, the Lord appearing a second time as if to remind me that God is within my own consciousness. The 'house of the LORD' is my temple of awareness; the 'desire' is a thought I have pleased to think until it becomes living reality. The second appearance signifies that every time I sustain the state of awareness that I am, God reappears, not as a rumor from without, but as the natural continuity of my being. This is true worship: not ritual, but allegiance to the unchanging I AM. The covenant loyalty is simply remaining in the assumption that the presence fills all rooms of my mind. Practically, I choose to dwell in this inner sanctuary, knowing that imagination creates reality and that the visitation is mine to sustain.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: In the next moment, assume the I AM presence is fully with you. Feel the inner temple awaken and let the belief that God is within become your felt reality.
