Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The priests carry the ark into the inner sanctuary, the cherubim shelter it with their wings, and the staves remain visible; there is nothing inside the ark except the two tablets of stone, the covenant witnesses.
Neville's Inner Vision
In this scene every detail is a description of states of consciousness. The ark is the I AM you awaken to dwell in the Most Holy Place, the deepest center of your being. The act of bringing the ark into its place mirrors your decision to claim that every moment is governed by a fixed, loving law. The cherubim spreading their wings over the ark are your attentive faculties shielding the sacred stillness from distractions; the staves visible in the holy place remind you that outer forms may hint at order, yet the inner content remains constant. There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone—these stones symbolize the immutable commandments written within your consciousness: the covenant of God with you is unwavering and present now. When you align with this inner ark, your thoughts, feelings, and perceptions resonate with the divine principle that you are, right now, the expression of the Covenant. Your outer life will reflect this inward order, and the sense of separation dissolves into unity of being.
Practice This Now
Assume the stance: I am the Ark within the heart; place it in the Most Holy Place and feel the law inscribed within. Stay there for a minute, letting outer concerns fade as you rest in the presence of your I AM.
