Biblical Context

Solomon placed two olive-wood cherubim inside the inner sanctuary, each standing tall as guardians of the sacred space.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within your awareness, the temple you call the oracle is built of a patient olive humility, and the two cherubim are the guardians of consciousness. They are not distant idols but the two steady states of your I AM: reverent attention and pure intention. The olive wood speaks of endurance and peaceful rise above distraction; the height of ten cubits marks a consciousness reach you are invited to live from, a scale on which the divine presence may safely stand. When you assume that the temple is finished in you, you are not worshipping an outside God but awakening the I AM that already dwells within. The two figures, facing each other and guarding the holy of holies, remind you that awareness and feeling must be kept pure, balanced, and intact. In practice, you choose to inhabit that sanctuary with your full conviction: you are present, not searching. The "Presence of God" becomes the felt reality of your own I AM, unyielded by fear or noise. By keeping the two cherubim in their place, you maintain holiness through integrity, and the temple becomes a living memory of the self's sovereignty.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes and assume the I AM now fills your inner temple. Picture two olive-wood cherubim standing guard over the sacred sanctuary and feel the presence rise within you.
