Biblical Context

Solomon's rule over Israel is described, naming his cabinet: priests, scribes, officers, and household managers.

Neville's Inner Vision

Solomon's court in 1 Kings 4:1-6 is an image of your own mind's orderly government. The king is your I AM, the awareness that appoints, maintains, and harmonizes the various faculties. Azariah the priest, the Zadok line, and the scribes stand as the priestly wisdom and the thinking faculties that record and interpret your daily life. Benaiah over the host represents disciplined action, the body in stride with intention; Zadok and Abiathar, priests, remind you of the two great streams of attention—worship and service—by which you handle life. Azariah over the officers and Zabud the king's friend signify the organizing directors of perception and the trust you place in your inner council. Ahishar over the household, Adoniram over the tribute, these are your domestic management and your wealth of thoughts—how you allocate resources of time, energy, and attention. When you claim the throne as the single I AM and acknowledge this inner cabinet as your own, you invite unity and abundance into your life. Thoughts become things through the feeling of their reality; the outer world reflects the harmony of your inner administration.

Practice This Now

Assume: 'I am the Solomon of my consciousness; I appoint these inner officers now.' Close your eyes, feel each role aligning: host in service to the king, household settled, tribute paid from abundance. Repeat: 'I AM that I AM governs with order.'
