Solomon's Wise Heart Realized
1 Kings 3:11-14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Solomon asks for discernment rather than personal gain, and God grants him a wise heart with riches and honor, conditioned on walking in God's ways.
Neville's Inner Vision
Solomon asks for discernment, not long life, not gain for its own sake; and in that quiet request the I AM answers. In this hour of stillness, the king-to-be becomes a state of consciousness that desires only the instrument of right judgment. God tells him, you have asked for understanding to discern judgment; I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that none shall be like you. The outer gifts of riches and honor are added as echoes of a deeper decision: when the mind chooses alignment with truth, the energy that would feed ego is redirected toward wisdom. The clause about walking in My ways, keeping statutes and commandments, images a practice: a sustained habit of inner obedience, a fidelity to the life of David that keeps the heart aligned with Source. The blessing is not a separate fortune but a shift in inner state—wisdom becoming the dominant function of consciousness, with prosperity following as its natural companion. If you dwell in this new discernment, your days extend because awareness deepens; life becomes a worthy instrument for fulfillment of your divine design.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the feeling: I am the wise heart judging rightly in all matters. Then rest in the sense that this discernment guides every decision.
