1 Kings 22:24-25

Biblical Context

In 1 Kings 22:24-25, Zedekiah strikes the prophet Micaiah and asks where the Spirit went; Micaiah prophesies that in the day of calamity the king will hide himself in an inner chamber.

Neville's Inner Vision

In this scene, Micaiah represents the awakened I AM, the living truth within you; Zedekiah embodies the fearful ego, questioning and striking at truth. The “Spirit of the LORD” moving away corresponds to the moment the ego resists the truth you awaken in consciousness. The “inner chamber” is the quiet sanctuary of your own awareness where you hide from uncomfortable truths. Neville would teach that external events mirror your inner states: what you resist in awareness becomes the drama of your world until you revise it by aligning with the truth you are. When you notice yourself reacting or blaming, you can turn inward, affirm the reality of your divine I AM, and invite the presence of truth to speak through the stillness. By steady breathing, a soft acceptance, and the assumption of being the aware observer, you allow the Spirit to dwell within rather than retreat; thereby prophecy becomes present experience instead of distant fate.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes now and assume the role of Micaiah in your mind: affirm, I AM truth speaking in me; see yourself calmly stepping into the inner chamber and letting the truth reveal what you need to know, feeling it-real as if you already know.
