Speak Truth From Within
1 Kings 22:13-14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Kings 22 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
A messenger presses Micaiah to conform to the other prophets, but Micaiah remains steadfast, declaring he will speak only what the LORD reveals to him.
Neville's Inner Vision
In this scene, the outer court—the king and the messenger—is a mirror of your daily crowd of opinions. The messenger’s prompt to say what’s good mirrors the urge to repeat popular judgment. Yet Micaiah speaks from the one true oracle available to him—the living word within the I AM. He does not bargain with pressure or seek to please the crowd; he proclaims, 'As the LORD liveth, what the LORD saith unto me, that will I speak.' This is the spiritual psychology at work: you are not a captive to circumstance but the consciousness that assigns meaning. The LORD is not a distant deity but the I AM within you, the authority you feel in your chest and hear in quiet moments. When you adopt this stance, you refuse to tailor your speech to external expectation and instead release the inner image you have received. Outer events align as you hold this inner sovereignty, for imagination creates reality and the inner state becomes the outward life. The pressure of the messenger dissolves when you stand in the truth of the inner voice.
Practice This Now
Take a quiet moment, place your hand on your chest, and declare: 'I am the I AM; I speak only what the inner voice reveals to me.' Then imagine the outer scene fading into alignment with that inner truth.
