1 Kings 2:46 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Kings 2 in context

Scripture Focus

46So the king commanded Benaiah the son of Jehoiada; which went out, and fell upon him, that he died. And the kingdom was established in the hand of Solomon.
1 Kings 2:46

Biblical Context

Solomon's rule is secured as the king commands a rival to be slain, and the kingdom is established in his hand. This speaks to inner authority taking firm hold in the present.

Neville's Inner Vision

View the verse as a map of consciousness. The king is your I AM—the awake, choosing self. The command to Benaiah is your decision to move against a lingering rival impulse, the thought or habit that would assert itself against your sovereignty. When that inner force is laid low, you are not enacting punishment in the world, you are dissolving a former state of consciousness. With that act, the kingdom is established in Solomon’s hand, i.e., in the present center of awareness where you govern your life. Solomon embodies the wise governor within you, the facet of consciousness that orders, plans, and manifests. The inner scene changes first, and the outward life follows. Recognize that you already possess the authority to decide what holds sway in your mind; the outer conditions then reflect this inner alignment. Imagination is the tool by which you revise your state; assume the feeling of your now-kingdom and feel the new order settling into your experience.

Practice This Now

Assume the feeling of sovereign inner authority: you are the ruler of your inner kingdom. Revise by repeating that the kingdom is established in your hand and feel the realness until it resonates.
