Ahab tells Jezebel what Elijah did, including how he killed the prophets.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the language of the I AM, Ahab is the outward self reporting to the inner guard Jezebel—the habit-energy of fear and self-justification. Elijah’s deeds are the inner conquering of old beliefs, the sword that cuts away the false prophets of guilt and limitation. When Jezebel receives the news, she represents the clingy thought-forms that resist change, the insistence that life must remain as it has been. The scene is not about history; it is your current state. The prophets slain symbolize the many thoughts you have identified with as authority but which you now refuse to obey. By imagining the sword in Elijah’s hand, you practice detachment from the belief that external circumstances dictate your worth. The real news is from within: your awareness, the I AM, already cleared the field of old worship and fear. When you hear the report, let it be a revision of identity, not a threat. Calmly absorb that the victory has already occurred in consciousness, and let that certainty displace every shadow of doubt.
Practice This Now
Practice: close your eyes, assume I AM is your only governor, and revise the scene by stating, 'The old beliefs and fears are slain; I am now victorious.' Feel the relief and steadiness.
