1 Kings 17:1-2

Biblical Context

Elijah proclaims that, before the LORD, there will be no dew or rain for years, according to his word. Then the LORD speaks to him, signaling further action or guidance.

Neville's Inner Vision

Elijah’s declaration is not a weather forecast but a revelation of inner authority. He stands in the presence of the I AM, feeling the stillness of the divine wind that orders the skies. The drought is a symbol of inner dryness—the lack that arises when consciousness forgets its own creative power. When he says, 'As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand,' he is not boasting of external power but affirming his alignment with the creator within. The 'word' he speaks is the vibrational state he has allowed to govern his inner climate. The moment he speaks from that state, the outer weather conforms to his inner decree, because the outer is only the echo of inner movement. When the word of the LORD comes to him, it is the invitation to revise the inner scene, to awaken to a new inner weather: dew and rain become possible when the mind is again saturated with the awareness that I AM. Your task is to awaken to the I AM, stand in that presence, and pronounce your own decree of power.

Practice This Now

Assume the state of your wish fulfilled for a few minutes today; revise any sense of lack with I AM, and my word shapes reality.
