Inner Samaria: A Reign Within
1 Kings 16:23-24 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Omri begins to reign over Israel; he buys the hill of Samaria from Shemer, builds a city there, and names it Samaria.
Neville's Inner Vision
In this verse the mind awakens with a new sovereignty. Omri stands for a fresh ruling idea that now begins to reign within the I AM. The old order—Asa in the land of Judah—signals a transition from the past to a new center of awareness. The hill of Samaria is the inner hill where a dominant idea can reside, and the act of buying it with two talents of silver is the vow of value you place on sustaining this ruling thought. By purchasing the hill from Shemer you acknowledge that ownership of the inner realm rests with your decision, not external circumstance. Building on that hill and naming the city after the owner of the hill signals you are crafting a living, named center of life within. Your inner Samaria becomes the place where provision and guidance flow, as the Kingdom of God is recognized as a state of consciousness you actively dwell in. When you commit to this inner sovereignty, your outer world aligns with a steady, felt sense of rule and order.
Practice This Now
Assume the state of Omri now: declare I am the I AM who reigns in Samaria within me, and feel a new city rising on the hill of my mind. See the hill bought, the city built, and named Samaria in reverent, continuous awareness.
