1 Kings 14:16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Biblical Context
Israel will be handed over because Jeroboam sinned and caused Israel to sin. It presents the principle that collective life follows the inner states we hold.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider that 'Israel' is not a distant nation but your own inner kingdom, the field of your awareness. Jeroboam's 'sin' is the habit of turning to substitutes and idols within your mind, a refusal to be governed by the I AM that you truly are. When that inner choice persists, the text tells you the result: God gives up Israel, the outer life, to be governed by that old state of consciousness. The 'sinners' do not vanish; you simply live under the consequences of the inner picture you continue to inhabit. Yet the law is not punishment but refinement: you are free to revise. By shifting your assumption from lack, fear, or idolatry to a steadfast awareness of the I AM, you invite the kingdom to return. The external exile and its judgments become a beacon that your inner world can be claimed again as your own glorious reality. The moment you refuse the idol-state and affirm your oneness with the I AM, you begin the slow, inevitable restoration.
Practice This Now
Assume you are already in the inner kingdom ruled by the I AM. Feel that reality now and let the outer life follow.
