Inner Judgment of Jeroboam
1 Kings 14:11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse declares that those who die in the city or in the field will be eaten by dogs or birds, for the LORD has spoken it.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of Jeroboam not as a man but as a fixed state of consciousness you have embraced as real. The city and the field are two inner climates: when you live by external appearances and worry of public judgment, you imagine a death that dogs will devour—your asserted self is dissolved by the inner law. The LORD's spoken word is the I AM within you: your deepest belief about who you are becomes the actual scenery of your life. In Neville's terms, prophecy is always about your present self-conception, not a distant fate. If you find yourself in a state where you fear decay or loss, you have invited that outcome by the inner decree you hold. The remedy is to reverse the state: assume you are the I AM that governs the situation, not Jeroboam's fear-based image. Rest in the conviction that the death of your old story signals birth of a new, integrated self—a consciousness where nourishment and order prevail, and the dogs and birds dissipate under the light of awareness. Practically, revise repeatedly until the feeling of truth floods the scene.
Practice This Now
For the next few minutes, close your eyes, feel the I AM as your constant governor, declare softly I am the life and order of this city and field, and imagine the old Jeroboam figure dissolving into light as a new inner temple rises within you.
