The Other Way Forward
1 Kings 13:10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Kings 13 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse shows a departure by a different route, not returning by the path he came. It hints at an inner shift that changes outward direction.
Neville's Inner Vision
Long before the feet reach Bethel, the journey turns in consciousness. 'So he went another way' signals a shift of states, not merely a new road. In your life, the I AM—your awareness—can redirect you by a fresh impression, a revised desire that feels real. To go another way is to decide a new inner path and to dwell in the feeling of already being there. When you assume the end in your imagination, you depart the old route of limitation and walk in the new present tense. The outer travel and return then follow as events that confirm the inner revision. Your obedience is inner fidelity: choosing the greater alignment of your I AM with the goal, even when the outward road remains the same. Trust that the verse is evidence that a single revised state of consciousness can alter the entire journey. If you persist in the feeling that you are already where you intend to be, the outward Bethel becomes your realized result.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and revise a current situation by affirming you have already taken the 'other way' in your mind, and feel the relief of arrived-ness.
