Light Always Before Me: Inner Kingship
1 Kings 11:36-39 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Kings 11 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God promises Solomon's heir one tribe and a perpetual light before Him in Jerusalem. If he hearkens to God's commands as David did, God will be with him and establish his rule, though the house of David may endure affliction for a season.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your inner text says the kingdom is not outside you but within. Jerusalem is the dwelling place of your awareness, and the light alway before me is the constant I AM shining through your days. The son who will reign is your higher self, trained by obedience to the inner commands of love, integrity, and steadfastness. When you heed the inner law and walk in its ways, you invite the divine presence to be with you and to build a solid inner house, as it did for David. The outward affliction of the seed of David is but a refining season for old identifications, not a final verdict on your kingship. The covenant is your decision to let consciousness reign, here and now. In that moment, the entire kingdom of your inner life is secured by awareness itself; you become the living temple whose name rests in the inner city of your heart.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and feel the I AM ruling your inner Jerusalem now. Repeat softly I AM the light before me; I govern my inner tribe with peace and truth, here and now.
