Solomon and the Inner I AM

1 Kings 11:3-4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Kings 11 in context

Scripture Focus

3And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart.
4For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.
1 Kings 11:3-4

Biblical Context

Solomon's many wives drew his heart away from the LORD. In his old age, his heart followed other gods, and he failed to be as faithful as David.

Neville's Inner Vision

Solomon is your I AM, awake, but drawn outward by many attachments. The wives are not people but countless currents of desire that would have you seek fulfillment outside the self. As long as the heart leans toward these 'other gods,' the inner vision grows dim and the memory of David's faithful heart fades. Neville's method says: you do not change the world; you change the state you inhabit. Assume you are already one with God, that the I AM governs every thought and desire. Feel now the monitor of awareness returning to its original perfection; revise by saying, 'I am faithful to the LORD in me,' and imagine the heart turning toward true worship within. In that act, the outer pressures lose their grip, and the inner kingdom is restored to its rightful king.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and breathe into the I AM; imagine Solomon's 'wives' as distracting thoughts in the background. Then revise: 'I am one with the LORD in me,' feel the heart settling into perfect faith, and let this inner alignment govern your choices.
