Inner Trade of Abundant Kingdom
1 Kings 10:15 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Kings 10 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse speaks of a king who possesses merchants, spice traders, and influence over Arabian rulers and regional governors. It presents wealth as a manifested network under sovereign authority.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the verse, the king's merchants, spice traffickers, and the kings and governors abroad symbolize the abundance and authority already resident in your consciousness. Do not seek wealth from without; see these merchants as faculties within you—memory, imagination, desire, decision—trading in ideas and values under the sovereign I AM. The 'kings of Arabia' and the 'governors of the country' are your outer circumstances, the people and events that seem to rule your day. When you assume the state of wealth in this inner market, you reign over them, not by force, but by alignment of your inner traffic with the truth of being. Your inner merchants bring spice—the zest, meaning, and aroma of purpose—into your life; the traffic is the continuous exchange of thoughts with the universe you call God, the I AM that you are. The verse teaches that abundance is already present in your kingdom; you merely reside as the ruler who permits it to be expressed through outer results.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly, place a hand on your chest, and declare, 'I am the wealth of my inner market; I reign now as the I AM.' Then visualize merchants bringing gold and spices into a treasury within, and feel that your outer affairs reflect this inner trade.
