1 Kings 1:17-18

Biblical Context

Bathsheba informs David of his oath that Solomon will reign. Adonijah is currently ruling, and the king does not know it.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the Neville frame, the throne is a state of consciousness, and kingly rule is an inner condition rather than an external event. Adonijah's apparent reign represents a lingering thought or old self that seems to govern because the vow has not been consciously reaffirmed. The promise that Solomon would sit on the throne is the I AM’s unwavering decree within you; it is not future tense but the end-state to be claimed now. The remedy is revision through present-tense assumption: accept that Solomon already reigns in your inner life, feel the seat of wisdom and rightful authority, and allow Adonijah’s reign to fade in the light of awakened awareness. Speak the end into your imagination as an already-present fact, trusting the innate law (the LORD thy God) to crown you. Do not battle the outward appearance; instead live from the end, and the outer scene will align with your inner king.

Practice This Now

Imaginative_act: Sit quietly, declare that Solomon now reigns in me, and feel the throne beneath your heart. Hold that end-state for a few moments, then step into your day from that royal position.
