The Son Within: Living Life
1 John 5:12-13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage states that life belongs to those who have the Son, while those without the Son do not have life. It also says these things were written so believers may know they have eternal life and believe in the name of the Son.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within you lies the inner Son, and it is this Son that brings life into your experience. When you say 'the Son hath life,' you are naming your true state of consciousness—the I AM that dwells as you. The verse does not threaten a future possession; it declares a present condition: eternal life is the quality of your awareness when you identify with the Son. Therefore, the outer conditions you call 'world' are merely manifestations of a belief in separation. Your task is to revise that belief by returning to the inner witness: I am the Son in whom life dwells. As you persist in this identification, the sense of lack vanishes and the felt truth emerges: you know you possess eternal life not as a future event but as the living state of consciousness. The invitation is simple: identify with the Son within, and you revise any sense of lack. Your belief on the name of the Son is simply your decision to stand as the I AM, here and now. This is how you know eternal life—by living as the truth you affirm.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the Son is within you; repeat 'I am the Son, I am life' until it feels real in the now.
