Inner Birth Through Faith

1 John 5:1 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 John 5 in context

Scripture Focus

1Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
1 John 5:1

Biblical Context

Belief that Jesus is the Christ marks one's birth into God; loving the Father implies love for all expressions of God within, the begotten.

Neville's Inner Vision

To believe Jesus is the Christ is to acknowledge the Christ-identity already alive in you; it is the recognition that your true self is not born of the world but born of God, an inner renewal that calls you back to the I AM. The birth is not historic but psychological: a new alignment of attention, a reordering of your inner atmosphere so that you live from your divine source. The 'begotten' are the many expressions of God you encounter—your thoughts, bodies, relationships, talents—each a sign of the Father living in you. When you love the Begotten, you love the Father in you and through you. The law is simple: belief births state; loving the begotten sustains it. Your job is to assume the Christ presence now, feel the kinship between Father and Son within and let the world mirror that unity. The moment you settle into that state, you will see outward signs of the inward birth.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: In a quiet moment, declare 'I am born of God; the Christ in me is awake now,' and feel the truth as a warm current moving through your chest. Then imagine loving every begotten expression—health, harmony, gifts—seeing them as the Father expressed through you.
