Beloved, John speaks not of distant powers but of your present state. To be 'of God' is to live as the awareness that witnesses every thought and fear without being swallowed by it. The voice that says, 'the greater is He that is in you' is the indwelling I AM, the power that nullifies the claim of the world. Those who speak from the world radiate its fears and appetites; you hear them only if you identify with them. But you are not of the world; you are of God, and this truth makes you the overcomer by nature. When you know God, you know you are already listening to the Spirit of Truth; when you hear the contrary, you know it as the Spirit of Error, not as reality. Practice is simple: return your attention to the I AM that dwells within, revise your sense of self to that identity, and feel the reality of that inner power in this moment. As you dwell there, the outward world loses its coercive grip and your victory is complete in awareness.
