Read 1 John 4 in context

Scripture Focus

13Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
14And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
15Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
1 John 4:13-15

Biblical Context

The verses say we dwell in God and He dwells in us through the Spirit; they declare Jesus as Savior and that acknowledging Him as the Son of God binds us to God. Confession of Jesus as the Son of God results in this mutual indwelling.

Neville's Inner Vision

Beloved, the text reveals with luminous simplicity that the I AM inside you is not far away but your very dwelling place. When it says we dwell in Him and He in us, it points to a state of consciousness where the Spirit is given as inner witness, not as a distant event. The Father’s sending of the Son is the cosmic yes to your own awakening—consciousness choosing to know itself as divine. To confess that Jesus is the Son of God is to align your inner speech with the truth you already carry: you are one with the Father, and God is at home within you. In this light, 'dwelling' becomes a revision of your sense of self, a felt realization that your thoughts, feelings, and sensations are being spoken by the one Life within. Each confession acts as a gentle command to the heart to live from that unity, and every moment you acknowledge the Presence you are testifying to the Savior who saves not by history, but by awakening.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, assume you already dwell in Him and He in you; feel the Spirit as a warm current flowing through your chest. Then confess, inwardly and with feeling, that Jesus is the Son of God and that you are one with God.
