Inner Triumph Over World Hatred

1 John 3:13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 John 3 in context

Scripture Focus

13Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
1 John 3:13

Biblical Context

1 John 3:13 tells believers not to marvel at worldly hatred; such hostility is expected when one lives in alignment with a higher truth. It signals a call to revise inner beliefs rather than a verdict on one's worth.

Neville's Inner Vision

Do not marvel, dear seeker, when the world hates you; hate is only the outward sign of an inner state that forgets the I AM. The world hates because you have not yet realized your oneness with God; it is a mirror of your current belief about separation. Remember: you are the I AM, and imagination is the instrument by which you revise your reality. By choosing a truer image—loved, safe, and complete—you soften the sting of hostility and invite harmony. When you feel outward hate, turn inward and revise the premise: I am one with all; this world is my self-expression, not an adversary. Trust that your inner shift precedes any change in circumstance; the outer scene follows the inner assumption. The suffering or trials become lessons showing you what to change inside, not punishments to suffer. In this light, faith becomes not a doctrine but a daily act of inner revision, a practice of feeling it real until the world reflects your new state.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: For three minutes, assume the feeling that you are the beloved I AM; revise any hateful thought by affirming unity and love, and feel it real as your world reflects that inner state.
