The Inner Anointing Guards Truth

1 John 2:26-27 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 John 2 in context

Scripture Focus

26These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
27But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
1 John 2:26-27

Biblical Context

John warns about seducers and seductive teachings. He affirms that the anointing within teaches all things and keeps you abiding in Him.

Neville's Inner Vision

To John, the danger is not a person but the belief that you must be taught apart from the innermost I AM. The anointing you already possess is your living school of truth; it abides in you and teaches you all things, not by sermon but by a felt sense of what is real. When you trust this indwelling tutor, you need no man to confirm your knowledge; your certainty becomes your world, and you remain in Him because you are always conscious of Him. The seducers fade as your awareness rises to the truth that thoughts are states you inhabit; the anointing translates knowledge into lived experience. Practice: assume the I AM within now teaches you; revise external authorities that contradict the inner voice; feel-it-real that you are already abiding in Him, and watch the outer world reflect that inner peace.

Practice This Now

Practice: Close your eyes and repeat gently, 'I am taught by the anointing within.' Then dwell in the felt sense of abiding in Him, revising any outer claim that contradicts this inner certainty until it becomes your lived reality.
