Dwelling in the Inner Light
1 John 1:5-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God is light without any darkness; if we claim fellowship with Him and walk in darkness, we are lying. But walking in the light as He is in the light brings true fellowship and cleansing from sin.
Neville's Inner Vision
To the inner speaker, this scripture is not about distant heaven but about the state of consciousness you inhabit. God is the light you awaken to, and darkness is the absent-minded habit of believing you are separate from that light. When you pretend to fellowship with Him while keeping your attention fixed in shadows, you are lying to your own being. But when you willingly walk in the light—as you would walk in a room made brilliant by awareness—your inner self and the world around you share the same radiance. The 'blood of Jesus' becomes not a historical tale but the comforting truth of your true nature washing away every false claim of sin or separation. In that light, you discover harmony with others as a natural effect of your unity with God, not as an effort to earn it. Practice the assumption: you are already in the light now; revise every sense of limitation as merely a state of consciousness dissolving in awareness; feel it-real until it manifests as harmony and cleansing.
Practice This Now
Assume you are already walking in the light right now; revise any sense of darkness as a temporary belief and feel the I AM as your constant reality. Let the felt sense of unity dissolve friction and reveal harmonious fellowship in your daily life.
