Read 1 John 1 in context

Scripture Focus

2(For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
3That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
4And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
1 John 1:2-4

Biblical Context

The verse speaks of the Life manifested among us, bearing witness to eternal life with the Father, and declares that our fellowship with the Father and His Son leads to full joy.

Neville's Inner Vision

To Neville, the Life is the I AM within you, the manifested Presence that was with the Father and is now made visible through awareness. When we say we have seen and heard, we are naming an inner perception: you are the witness and the one who bears witness to that Life. Fellowship with the Father and His Son is the inward sense of oneness with the Self that endures, not an external ritual. Eternal life is a perpetual state of consciousness flowing through you; joy is its natural expression when you inhabit that identity. The aim is to shift attention from lack to the living reality now, so that outward experience aligns with the inner state. Practice this by assuming you are already in unity with Father and Son, and letting the felt sense of that Life fill your mind until your world reflects that unity.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the presence of the Father and His Son as your own awareness; feel the joy as the inherent fullness of this relationship, and carry that felt sense into your day.
