Inner Life Fellowship Unveiled
1 John 1:2-3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 John 1 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
John says the life of God was manifested so we could witness it, and that we may declare eternal life. This fellowship is with the Father and His Son, and invites us into communal unity.
Neville's Inner Vision
That life which John proclaims as manifested is not a distant event but the very feeling of I AM made visible in this moment. When he says the life was manifested to us, he points you to the truth: consciousness, not history, is the source of all fellowship. You and I share the same Father, the same Son, a bond born of awareness now, not earned by toil. The eternal life he speaks of is the living reality within your own sense of I AM. It is the presence that bears witness and invites you to declare with your inner ear that you are already united with the Father and Jesus in the inner workshop of your mind. When you know this, the outer world follows as a natural outgrowth of your inner state: fellowship with us becomes fellowship with God; unity appears as the harmony of your inner life with its divine source. The verse asks only that you acknowledge the life already at home within you and let your outer world reflect that oneness.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and assume the life was manifested in you now; feel the eternal fellowship as a present sensation inside. Silently declare I and the Father are one, and imagine the circle of believers as a shared inner state.
