One God Within You
1 Corinthians 8:4-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Corinthians 8 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul declares idols are nothing and there is one God; believers are called to anchor life in the Father and in Christ, recognizing unity.
Neville's Inner Vision
From the inner perspective, the so-called idols of the world are merely thoughts that have taken form in your consciousness. There is but one reality, God, the Father, in whom all are and through whom all come. When you say an idol is nothing, you are not denying history; you are releasing the mind from the illusion of separation. Your gods in heaven or on earth are names for prevailing states of awareness, and the only true Lord is the Christ within, through whom all experiences are made and by whom you are made. See that we in him and by whom are all things is your present condition: you live in the one Life, move in the one Mind, and are animated by the I AM that you are. When you feel this unity, you cease competing with shadows and begin cooperating with the divine pattern within. As you claim this interior truth, your outer circumstances harmonize, for you are aligning with the source of all form.
Practice This Now
Assume the conviction I am in God and God is in me, and feel it as real right now. Sit in quiet and let a radiant unity light surround you while you silently affirm there is one God, the Father, and I am in Him and He is in me.
