Biblical Context
Paul states he has no Lord-given commandment about virgins, but he speaks from mercy to be faithful. In the present distress, it seems good to be as one is; marriage or remaining single is not sin, though each path carries earthly troubles.
Neville's Inner Vision
Viewed through the inner vision, this counsel is not a rule from without but a description of your inner weather. The virgins are states of consciousness—clear desire, unshaken faith, readiness. Paul speaks as one who has obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful; his judgment arises from that merciful I AM within you, not from external law. The present distress is simply a moment inviting you to select a state. To stay as you are or to marry are not sins; both are opportunities to prove which state you are living from. If you marry, you do not sin; if a virgin marries, she has not sinned. Yet such outer arrangements often bring trouble in the flesh, reminding you to rely on the inner mercy rather than fear of loss. The true peace comes when you align with the inner I AM and imagine from that state. Then the outer scene will harmonize with your chosen inner fact. Your faith is not in outcomes but in the mercy sustaining you.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Assume the calm, faithful state you desire as already true, arising from the I AM. Feel it now, revise fear to that image, and let inner mercy govern your next decision.
