Inner Calling Unveiled
1 Corinthians 7:17-24 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul urges believers to remain in the calling they received; outward distinctions like circumcision are irrelevant if the commandments are kept. He declares that one's status—servant or free—does not define value; all are the Lord's and should abide with God.
Neville's Inner Vision
Paul’s counsel invites you to read your life from the inside out. The calling is a state of consciousness you awaken to and live from, not an outward position. God distributes to each as the Lord calls, so the form you wear—circumcised, uncircumcised, servant or free—is a symbol, not the truth. The true commandment is to keep God's commandments, which means aligning your inner thoughts, feelings, and choices with the divine pattern you acknowledge in awareness. To abide in the same calling you began with is to stay in the present state of consciousness in which you heard the invitation, letting it inform your every moment. If you are a servant, do not fret for you are the Lord's freeman in the sense of identity; if you are free, you are Christ's servant in devotion. You are bought with a price; your true value rests in your union with God, not in men's judgments. In practice, treat your current condition as the exact vessel for your awakening; revise any sense of lack by imagining yourself already operating from that divine state.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the inner state you would have if you already walked in your calling. Silently revise any sense of limitation by affirming, I am already abiding with God in this moment; my condition is the vessel of my true freedom.
