Inner Mercy Over Litigation

1 Corinthians 6:7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Corinthians 6 in context

Scripture Focus

7Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?
1 Corinthians 6:7

Biblical Context

Paul rebukes the church for taking to law with one another and urges them to endure being wronged instead of seeking restitution through litigation.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the I AM that you are, the verse exposes an inner misalignment: chasing legal battles reveals a state of fear, separation, and lack. The true law is mercy; to 'take wrong' and to 'suffer to be defrauded' is to acknowledge that your reality is formed by present awareness rather than external claims. See the other as a mirror of your subconscious, and choose forgiveness as an assertion of your higher self. By imagining you have already faced defrauding without loss of wholeness, you claim a higher order of consciousness that cannot be toppled by appearances. When you rest in this inner mercy, the outer dispute dissolves, because you have entered a creative state that aligns experience with your true I AM. Your responsibility is to maintain this mercy, and the world will respond to reflect that inner state.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly and affirm 'I AM that I AM' as the observer of the scene; revise the dispute by imagining you have already been defrauded and choose to forgive, blessing the other as part of your own inner harmony.
