Temple Within: The I Am Body
1 Corinthians 6:19 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Your body is a sacred dwelling for the Holy Spirit. It belongs to God, not to you.
Neville's Inner Vision
Let us view the temple as an inner state rather than a stone: the verse says the body is the temple of the Holy Ghost who dwells within and you are not your own. In this inner vision, the body is the outer expression of a universal I AM, the divine awareness you awaken in. If you truly believe you are the temple, every sensation becomes a movement of presence, and the sense of separation dissolves. The not your own invites you to surrender ownership to the I AM, to cease claiming an identity apart from God. When you assume that you already dwell in God, you shift your vibrational state to holiness. Imagination becomes the altar, feeling your liturgy, and assumption the priesthood. Practice a daily revision: affirm I am the temple, I am the dwelling place of the living Spirit, and feel that truth until it saturates your blood and breath. In that state, health, dignity, and purity arise as natural expressions of your true self.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, place your hand on your chest, and declare: I am the temple of God; the Holy Spirit dwells in me. Then rest in that feeling for a few minutes, letting it saturate your body.
