Purging Leaven, Embracing New Mindset

1 Corinthians 5:7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Corinthians 5 in context

Scripture Focus

7Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
1 Corinthians 5:7

Biblical Context

Paul urges purging the old leaven to become a new lump, unleavened; Christ, our Passover, has been sacrificed for us.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your Paul here is not about history but a map of your inner state. The 'old leaven' is the habitual belief in lack, guilt, and separation, fermenting as your current reality. Purging it means refusing to feed that state any longer and choosing a different consciousness—the unleavened self you already are by the I AM. 'Christ our Passover' is not a past event but the inner shift that happens when you identify with the Christ within as your true self. The sacrifice is the cutting away of the old pattern in consciousness, so a new lump may arise. When you assume you are the new lump and feel it, you neutralize the old yeast by not reacting from it. Your environment then begins to reflect your inner Passover, doors opening, problems dissolving, opportunities appearing, all in harmony with your renewed identity. Remain faithful to the feeling that the inner Christ has made you free, and you will live as that liberty.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, and declare, I am the unleavened lump, purged of old leaven. Feel the new state as already present, aligning all that follows with this inner Passover.
