Inner Deliverance and Spiritual Salvation
1 Corinthians 5:5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Plainly, this verse speaks of separating a harmful pattern so the true self can be saved. The act is about discipline and boundary, not punishment, to awaken the higher state within.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider that 'such an one' is a belief or habit in your inner life. 'Deliver unto Satan' is a metaphor for releasing the old, carnal mind from your attention, letting it perish so the spirit—your I AM—may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus, the moment you awaken to your divine nature. The 'destruction of the flesh' is the dying away of the identified self; the 'day' is when consciousness recognizes itself as God. In practice, you are asked to curate your inner circle of attention, to honor holiness by separation from habitual egoic impulses, so that the inner light can rise unopposed. Judgment here is internal correction, a mercy that clears the way for redemption as you choose to identify with the higher self rather than the pull of the flesh.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Assume the state of I AM now and feel the higher self fully present; let the old pattern fade from your awareness as you dwell in that preserved, holy center.
