Inner Sovereign Beyond the World
1 Corinthians 5:10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Corinthians 5 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Believers should not wholly join with the sins of the world—immorality, greed, extortion, and idolatry—because such full participation would force them out of the world.
Neville's Inner Vision
To not be altogether with them is to refuse identification with those states as your own. The world you perceive is the outer screen reflecting your inner beliefs. You are the I AM, the awareness witnessing every scene. When urge toward vice arises, recognize it as a projection of a state you have allowed in consciousness. By assuming a higher state—‘I AM the I AM’—you do not detach from life; you reframe how you experience it. Your reality becomes the steady awareness that remains unchanged while appearances change. This discipline invites sovereignty: you are not the victim of others’ sins; you are the observer who remains whole and free.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit in silence and repeat 'I AM' as your unwavering reality, picturing the world’s vices as passing images you observe rather than inhabit. Then revise any craving by affirming, 'I am not of this; I AM above it all.'
