Inner Demonstration Power
1 Corinthians 2:2-5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Corinthians 2 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul states that his focus is on Christ and the crucified, and that his own presence is marked by weakness and fear; his message relies on the Spirit's power, not human wisdom, so faith rests in God, not in people.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the verse, I hear the whisper, not of a distant history, but of your inner I AM becoming aware of itself as the one power. I determined to know nothing save Jesus Christ and Him crucified signals a decision to refuse the chattering intellect of the world and to dwell in the consciousness of the crucified, meaning the old self put aside. The crucifixion is a turning point in awareness, not a tragedy in time; weakness, fear, and trembling are the signs of the old personality surrendering to a higher light. When your speech is not "man's wisdom" but the demonstration of the Spirit and power, you witness that faith rests in God rather than in clever arguments. Your faith is thus a function of inner conviction, not outward validation. Practice hearing the inner trumpet of truth and speaking from that inner power, and the outer world will bend to your inner state. The goal is not to argue others into belief but to realize that you are the living instrument of God’s power, here and now.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: In your mind, assume the power of God is demonstrated through you now. Feel it as your lived reality.
