Biblical Context

The verses depict a network of churches and households sending greetings, signaling unity and affection among all members.

Neville's Inner Vision

Consider the 'churches of Asia' as the many faces of your own consciousness scattered across the map of your inner life. Aquila and Priscilla, who greet you in the Lord, are the disciplined habits and intelligent understanding you have developed and now house within your awareness. The church that is in their house represents your inner sanctuary where these habits dwell and renew your sense of self. When it says, 'All the brethren greet you,' know that every facet of your being—desires, memories, intuition, higher mind—extends a warm welcome to the central I AM. 'Greet ye one another with an holy kiss' becomes a sacred gesture of unity, a kiss of reverence that binds all parts of you in love. Thus the verse teaches that your reality is a fellowship of inner states, and peace arises when you corporately acknowledge and bless each part as you would a friend in the light of awareness. Practice: assume you are already united with every aspect of your self, and feel that unity as a living, breathing fact of your awareness.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine the inner churches greeting you in the Lord. Feel the holy kiss sealing unity among all inner facets.
