Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Timothy is coming to them and should be welcomed without fear, for he carries out the Lord's work just as Paul does. He must be conducted in peace so he may join Paul with the brethren.
Neville's Inner Vision
Timothy in this text is not a mere boy of history. In the inner life, he stands for that portion of your I AM which undertakes the Lord's business in your present scene. He comes without fear because this inner work knows its source and its outcome. If you despise him, you are despising a part of yourself that is already awake to purpose; you must conduct him forth in peace, allowing the inner motion to move through you without resistance. Peace here is not passivity but alignment—relaxing the hold of doubt so that the action may proceed unhampered. When you say, 'I look for him with the brethren,' you are naming the circle of states of consciousness that join in the manifestation. The moment you dwell in that expectation, the scene softens into being: not by struggle, but by the consent of your I AM to what already is. Practice: in imagination, welcome Timothy, feel his fearless service, and let that feeling flood your days as if the meeting were already accomplished.
Practice This Now
In a quiet moment, assume Timothy has already arrived, fearless, doing the Lord's work in you. Let that inner peace govern your thoughts and guide your next steps toward reunion and forward motion.
