Grace in Action: I Am True

1 Corinthians 15:9-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Corinthians 15 in context

Scripture Focus

9For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
10But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
1 Corinthians 15:9-10

Biblical Context

Paul calls himself the least of the apostles because he persecuted the church. Yet he proclaims that by the grace of God he is what he is, and his labor is powered by that grace.

Neville's Inner Vision

Beloved reader, this passage whispers the inner conversion of consciousness. The phrase the least of the apostles points not to lack but to the clearing of the self story that believes it stands apart from grace. By the grace of God I am what I am is the I AM naming of your true state, grace as the living awareness that you already are what you seek to become. Grace bestowed upon me is not a past seal but a present power that flows through your thoughts and acts. The claim that I laboured more abundantly than they all expresses inner vitality born of imagination, not personal effort alone, and yet the source remains not the small self but the grace that accompanies you. And the final clause yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me declares the instrument of action is God consciousness moving as you. Practice is to dwell in this truth, see yourself as grace in action, and let the inner vision guide your outward results.

Practice This Now

Imaginatively revise your sense of self now by declaring I am what I am by the grace of God. Then, in a quiet moment, picture a task before you and feel Grace moving through you, guiding thoughts and actions as you proceed.
