Death Destroyed Within You

1 Corinthians 15:26 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Corinthians 15 in context

Scripture Focus

26The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
1 Corinthians 15:26

Biblical Context

The verse declares death as the final enemy to be destroyed. It points to life’s ultimate victory over the fear of mortality.

Neville's Inner Vision

See death as a misperception of your own consciousness. The verse names the last enemy as the belief in separation from life, yet your I AM, your awareness, stands beyond it. When you assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled—that you are the unbounded Life that never ends—the belief in death loosens its grip. Imagination creates reality, so dwell in the image and sensation of ongoing life here and now, until the inner landscape shifts and what you called death becomes a doorway to greater living. Do not fight death as a thing out there; dissolve it by inhabiting a state of wholeness, the sense that Life is one, present, and undivided. As you remain in that awareness, the apparent last enemy falls away and you awaken to the truth of your continuity.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and assume the feeling of timeless life now, saying, 'I AM Life without end.' Revise any sense of separation until it feels real in your body and world.
