Standing in the Gospel

1 Corinthians 15:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Corinthians 15 in context

Scripture Focus

1Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
1 Corinthians 15:1-2

Biblical Context

The gospel you received is the foundation you stand in; salvation comes as you keep memory of what was preached, lest belief be in vain.

Neville's Inner Vision

The gospel is not a distant doctrine but a present state of consciousness you inhabit. You have received it; you stand within it, and by that standing you are saved as you keep the image alive in memory. Memory here is not mere recollection but the ongoing recognition of your true I AM-ness—the truth you already live: you are beloved, complete, and safe. When fear or doubt arise, return your attention to the inner image of the finished work, and affirm it as your current reality. By the power of imagination and unwavering attention to this inner verity, the outward becomes a faithful expression of the inward state. The one who believes in vain is one who forgets the living gospel; the one who remembers experiences the cohesion of life and its text—this is salvation in the present moment.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and declare, 'I stand in the gospel now; I am saved by this consciousness.' Hold the image, feel its certainty, and revise any sense of lack until it is your present fact.
