Partial Knowledge, Perfect Presence

1 Corinthians 13:9-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Corinthians 13 in context

Scripture Focus

9For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
1 Corinthians 13:9-10

Biblical Context

We know and prophesy in part; true wholeness arrives when the perfect consciousness comes, and the partial fades away.

Neville's Inner Vision

Verse 9–10 speaks not of human error, but of stages within consciousness. We mistake our small knowing for reality, yet the I AM, the perfect state, is already here within awareness. When that perfect state is 'come'—not coming from outside but awakening within us—all that is partial is dissolved. Our present 'knowledge in part' and 'prophesying in part' are the byproducts of a divided self, imagining from a limited self-image. The new creation is a shift in identification: you awaken to a single, all-encompassing consciousness that awakens every 'part' into unity. In Neville's terms, imagination is the instrument by which the partial becomes whole; the prophecy you utter is a sign that you are naming your now-occupying, complete I AM. Persist in the feeling that the full presence already exists as your true self, and the seen fragments recede. Let this be your practice: dwell in the I AM and treat every sense of lack as a shadow that yields to inner recognition. The 'perfection' is not future; it is your present awareness, dissolving separation.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume: 'I am the perfect consciousness now.' See the complete presence filling your being and imagine any trace of limitation dissolving into light.
