When Perfection Comes: Inner Love

1 Corinthians 13:8-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Corinthians 13 in context

Scripture Focus

8Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
9For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
1 Corinthians 13:8-10

Biblical Context

Love remains as the enduring reality; gifts like prophecy and knowledge are temporary and partial, and when perfection arrives those partials disappear.

Neville's Inner Vision

Charity, the enduring I AM, remains when the forms of gift fade away. When Paul says prophecies and tongues shall fail, he is laying bare the law of appearances: they vanish as consciousness expands. We know in part and prophesy in part because we inhabit a partial state of awareness; the perfect knowledge is God within, the complete state in which no part is lacking. When that perfect state comes, the partial, time-bound knowing dissolves, not by negation but by revelation of the whole. So cultivate the sense that you already stand in that perfection now; rest in the inner I AM, letting every fragment of knowledge yield to the one truth: love as consciousness. Your outer signs will reflect this inner alignment as you live from that completed awareness.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and declare, 'I AM the perfect state now.' Then rest in the feeling that complete love and complete knowledge are present, revising any partial belief until your inner sense feels settled.
